Walrus 40 Turntable

The Walrus 40 Turntable has a unique double belt drive gearbox. This increases power and makes spinning smoother, perfect for steady video shots.

The Walrus control box works with all digital cameras, from old DSLRs to the latest mirrorless models. The remote lead is universal, and we include the right cable for your camera. Just let us know your camera model.

The Walrus control works like a remote for your camera. Press start, and it will rotate the turntable and automatically trigger your camera. No software is needed. Just connect your camera via USB to your computer with your favorite tethering software, like Capture One, and capture a series of images for your 360.

Made in Britain

Walrus turntables are made in the UK at our workshop on the south coast. Top brands like Burberry and Amazon have trusted our hardware for over a decade. Some of our earliest turntables have been spinning every day for over 16 years. We build them to last a lifetime, with a simple design that’s easy to maintain using parts available worldwide.

80cm Leaf Disc

Walrus Platform 50cm Disc

We have designed a series of platforms with over 20 adjustment points to make the turntable disc disappear. By adjusting the platform height as precisely as a sheet of paper, we create seamless 360° images with no need for post-production. Everything is done in-camera, saving you hours of editing.

Ryan, the Walrus 40 would work well for you, but its feet have a small footprint, and the disc is 50cm. Amazon uses this turntable, but they attach a 1m wooden disc on top for their shoots. They do get some post-production work with the back of the disc, and their items are smaller than what you’ve described.

Personally, I’d recommend the Walrus 130 turntable. It can handle larger items, and it’s also capable of turning a person for future shoots. Plus, it can take extender legs, which support a larger disc and keep it balanced to prevent tipping when working with heavier items.

I’ll send over some photos, and we should schedule a call to go over them.
